Marketing for Dentists

Phoenix Marketing is a marketing agency for dentists. If your chairs have gaps, or your implant and Invisalign enquiries have gone quiet, the problem is usually visibility rather than clinical quality. We fix the visibility.

What Our Marketing for Dentists Includes

We cover every part of getting your practice found, chosen and booked. A typical setup includes:

  • Local SEO: ranking in the map pack and organic results for your practice and the suburbs around it.
  • Google Business Profile: a fully optimised profile that wins the map pack and drives calls.
  • Google Ads: tightly targeted campaigns for high value treatments like implants, Invisalign and veneers.
  • Website design and fixes: fast, mobile first, and built so a nervous patient can book without friction.
  • Treatment and suburb pages: dedicated pages that rank for what patients actually search.
  • Reviews and reputation: a simple system to earn genuine reviews without breaching the National Law.
  • Call and enquiry tracking: know which new patients came from where, and what each one cost.
  • Conversion basics: click to call, online booking and trust signals that reassure first time patients.
  • Reporting in plain English: a monthly update on new patient enquiries and cost per booking.

Why Dental Practices Choose Phoenix Marketing

We are not a generalist agency that treats a dental practice like a plumber with a nicer waiting room. Dentistry is a regulated health service. Under the National Law, advertising cannot use patient testimonials, cannot promise outcomes, and cannot trade on fear. We write and run campaigns that stay inside those rules and still fill chairs.

How Long Until You See New Patients?

It depends on where you start and how competitive your area is. Google Ads can bring booking enquiries within days. Local SEO and your Google Business Profile usually take two to three months to move, then keep building from there.

Marketing That Pays for Itself

For a practice, one implant case or a handful of new families can cover a month of marketing. We report on cost per new patient enquiry so you can see what each channel is actually returning.

How We Work: Minimum 3-Month Retainer

Marketing that brings in patients is built over months, not weeks. We work to a three month minimum so there is time to fix the foundations, get campaigns running, and show you real numbers.

Supporting Creative Services

Good marketing needs to look the part. When you need it we can handle practice photography, video, brand refreshes and print, so your material matches the standard of care you give.

A Marketing Partner Built for Practices

Most agencies sell you channels. We sell you outcomes: more new patient enquiries, more chairs filled, and a clear picture of what each one costs.

We have grown real health and local service businesses through search, ads and content, and we bring that same approach to dentistry.

Dentistry is AHPRA regulated. Most agencies market it like retail.

Dental practices sit under the National Law, and the advertising restrictions are stricter than almost any other business you will be compared against on a high street. The rules that catch practices out are consistent and avoidable.

Testimonials about clinical care are prohibited. You cannot use patient statements about treatment, results or how a procedure felt in advertising you control. You can ask patients for a Google review, AHPRA has confirmed that, and your Google listing is not treated as advertising you control because the feature cannot be switched off. What you cannot do is lift those reviews onto your own site where they discuss clinical care, or edit one to remove the clinical part, because an edited review is treated as misleading.

Claims have to be defensible. A Perth dental practice was formally cautioned for advertising "painless dentistry", because no procedure can guarantee that for every patient. The same logic applies to "best", "safest", "permanent" and most comfort promises. It is easy to write one by accident.

Before and after photography is restricted. Images used in dental advertising need to be genuine, unaltered, comparable in lighting and angle, and carry a clear statement that results vary between patients. Stock imagery presented as your own work is a straightforward breach.

What this leaves is still plenty. Practice photography, clinician profiles, plain explanations of what a procedure involves, fee transparency and non-clinical feedback about the experience are all usable, and most practices under-use every one of them.

We are not your compliance adviser and this is not legal advice. Your obligations sit with you and with AHPRA. What we do is write the campaign so the question is asked before it goes live rather than after a complaint.

The two things that decide whether a dental practice grows

Dentistry has an unusual shape. A new patient is worth far more than a single appointment, because most of the value sits in the years afterwards. That changes what marketing is actually for.

First, the recall book. A practice with a disciplined recall system and a lapsed-patient process usually has more growth sitting in its own database than in any advertising campaign. Reactivating a patient who has not been in for two years costs almost nothing compared with buying a new one. If that is not running properly, advertising is the expensive way to solve a cheap problem, and we will say so before taking your money.

Second, the first appointment. Most dental enquiries are anxious and price-aware at the same time. The practices that convert are the ones that answer both before the phone rings: what the first visit involves, what it costs, whether there is a payment plan, and who the person will be seeing. Silence on fees is read as expensive.

So the order of work for a practice usually runs: fix recall, make the first visit and its cost obvious, get the Google listing complete and reviewed, then advertise. Not the other way round.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does marketing for dentists cost?

It depends on your treatments, your area, and how fast you want to grow. Most practices we work with sit between a focused local SEO retainer and a combined SEO plus Google Ads program. We will quote once we have looked at your market.

How long before I see new patients?

Google Ads can bring booking enquiries within days. Local SEO and your Google Business Profile usually take two to three months to show, and keep improving after that.

Do I need a new website?

Not always. If your current site is slow, hard to use on a phone, or does not make booking obvious, we will fix those things first. A full rebuild is only worth it when the site is holding everything else back.

Can you use patient testimonials or before and after photos?

Testimonials about clinical care are not permitted under the National Law, and before and after images have strict conditions. We work with what is allowed: your credentials, your technology, your team and genuine Google reviews, which sit outside the testimonial rule.

Ready to Fill Your Chairs?

Tell us about your practice and your suburb, and we will show you what is realistic in the first three months.
